The team at Sky High Camera have been investing in new ways in which to undertake property photography, and one of the trends which we are seeing increasingly is 360-degree photography & virtual tours.
We are now regularly operating drones with the capability to capture properties in 360, there are however restrictions on where we can operate, such as near airports and in highly urbanised areas.
Once the image capture of a property has been completed, we then use specialist software to design a bespoke virtual tour. The tour has a similar appearance and movement to Google Street View; however, it also includes unique features that enable our tour designers to add colour schemes and branding requested by our clients.
The client then receives a link to the completed tour and is able to see the property from every angle. This would include both from ground level, and from high 360-degree drone shots looking down at the subject property including its surroundings and nearby occupiers from above.
One advantage of a virtual tour is that it allows people to simulate walking around any property from their computer or mobile device, without visiting the site itself. During the COVID-19 pandemic this type of photography has really come into its own, due to lockdowns people have been unable to visit sites in person and the value of having a virtual tour option for our clients has increased. Since restrictions eased the popularity of virtual tours has remained high, as working & travel patterns have altered in the long term.
