Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost ?
Although indicative prices are quoted on the Residental, Commercial and Professional pages, please do get in touch as these are subject to change. We do not charge mileage for jobs in the North Derbyshire / South Yorkshire region, for commissions further a field we would be happy to quote rates including mileage. We welcome half day and full day commissions and would be pleased to quote on that basis if required.
Where are you located?
We are based centrally in the UK in Sheffield and as such are ideally based to cover the entire UK and further a field if required.
Is weather a factor?
Obviously the weather plays an important part of capturing the perfect image. Ideal conditions are bright days with a thin cloud cover. However we are able to work in most weathers and get excellent results.
The exceptions to this are very high winds (we do have guy ropes to work in moderate winds), rain (we want your property to look fabulous, not wet) and thunderstorms (lightening won’t do us or the equipment any good at all!)
At booking we will get a description of the job and understand where the sun rises and sets to assess the best time and place to take the photo.
What about obstacles in the way of the picture?
Obstacles are not normally an issue, as one of the main advantages of the Sky High Camera system is that the mast is tall enough to rise above most trees, walls, hedges and other objects that tend to obscure views in ground based photography. In addition the Sky High Camera system is not subject to the same height restrictions that apply to aircraft and balloons.
In Summary: What to expect from Sky High Camera:
- The photographer will arrive at the agreed time in the van based studio and do a brief risk assessment to check there are no obstacles that could interfere with the mast and where the best set up points are located.
- The photographer will set up the camera elevate the mast and take several shots at various heights, angles and camera settings as the mast rises. We welcome customer input at this time to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- The photographer will make any additional set ups as required.
- The customer will receive a minimum of 15 high quality images burnt onto CD on the day of the commission or the next business day by First Class post. We take all photos at the highest possible resolution using a 10 mega pixel camera and as such each image is between 3 MB and 7MB in size and in a JPEG format.
- The customer will receive a framed A4 picture or pictures of the best shot or shots if required.
- The customer will receive an invoice for the services supplied with the CD.
- Sky High Camera would in return ask that payment is ideally on the day of the commission or no later than 15 days after invoice. We would also ask if you have been pleased with the service that you have received from Sky High Camera that you tell all your friends and colleagues. If you have not been happy with the service that you tell us here at Sky High Camera.
Many thanks!
